Meet The Doctor

Dr. Caplin has been in practice in the same location since 1978. She did her undergraduate work, majoring in Biology at Boston University followed by attending New York University School of dentistry to attain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). NYU awarded Dr. Caplin a Certificate of Merit in Oral Medicine and Distinguished Dentist Award in Removable Prosthodontics. She was also distinguished as 'America's Top Dentist' starting in 2010 and continuing into 2022.

Dr. Caplin began practicing with her father in 1978 while participating in one on one 5 year training program in advanced prosthodontics.

Dr. Caplin's practice is General Dentistry with a special emphasis on Cosmetic and Prosthetic procedures. Dr. Caplin is Invisalign Certified. The office uses digital x-rays, computerized dental examinations for periodontal evaluation, Dr. Caplin provides all dental services including nonsurgical periodontal therapy, Invisalign, Cosmetic Dentistry, Removable and Fixed bridgework, Implant restorations, and teeth whitening procedures. We also use the 'Wand' painless dental anesthesia.

Dr. Caplin is a member of Dental Society of the State of NY, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Prosthodontic Society, Academy of  General Dentistry, American Association of Women Dentists, American Dental Association, New York County Dental Society,

Dr. Caplin loves the outdoors and enjoys long walks on trails with her dog Logan, swimming, skiing, hiking and camping out, and traveling. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys working out at the gym daily, and any free time is spent with her infant grandsons.

Dr. Caplin resides in Connecticut with her husband, a Cockatoo Parrot named Asa, and her Rescue Dog Logan.
